POSITION SUMMARY

This position serves as a bridge between students, parents, sending schools, instructors, employers, and community partners to ensure every student develops and maintains a meaningful career plan and has access to high quality career-connected learning experiences.  

 

The counselor / coach will promote student success in LPCCTE programming by providing career readiness counseling and coaching services through one to one and group sessions, supporting student participation in work-based learning and on-the-job training, providing information and resources to help instructors provide quality career coaching in their programs, and organizing events designed to connect students with industry professionals.  Additionally, the counselor / coach will support school counselors from each of LPCCTE's sending schools to increase awareness of student opportunities at LPCCTE and deliver individualized career coaching sessions and career discovery meetings aligned with Indiana's Career Coaching Framework.
